European Creative Hubs Forum has negotiated special rates at the following hotels:
The first day at the ECHF explores infrastructures, business models and services provided by Creative Hubs. What are some of the different Hub models? What training and professional development is available for Creative Hub Managers? How can tech or cross-innovation support all the businesses in a Creative Hub?
The day finishes with both inspiration and provocation in our keynote speeches, followed by a networking party with hundreds of Portugal’s Creative and Cultural businesses and organisations. Bring your dancing shoes!
The second day at the ECHF is focussed on the money! Have you ever wondered how to access EU funding? Are you curious but scared about working with private investors? Today is all about empowering Hub Managers to be in a better position to advise their member businesses, but also to fund their own organisation’s sustainable future.
Add to that some 360° views of exciting hubs and an optional tour of one of Lisbon’s most dynamic organisations, and you’ll understand why we make the coffee strong and black in Portugal!
The third day at the ECHF looks to the future as the Forum starts to focus on what Creative Hub Managers need from each other and from external organisations, policies, and infrastructures. Today you can pitch a project, help write a manifesto for Europe’s Creative Hubs, design a Professional Development programme or an International Hub Manager Exchange programme, and state what you need from a practical toolkit for Hub Managers.
Public Funding Q&A
In order to understand the hub model, it’s first of interest to look at the overall ecology in which it exists. In our first European Creative Hubs Forum session we heard from the funder (Arts Council England), the delivery body (Watershed) and the creative producer (artist, Duncan Speakman).
If you're a Hub manager and haven't completed the survey, it's here:
One of the few sector-focused moments in a forum that was meant to raise generalist and cross-sectorial topics, the video games free networking moment attracted a handful of dedicated and interested participants that engaged in a very absorbing and interesting conversation.
