Degree in Economics, University of Porto, postgraduate in Cultural Tourism, University of Barcelona and doctoral student in Economic Geography, University of Porto. He was deputy Mayor in Santa Maria da Feira, responsible for Culture, Tourism and Economic Development, chairman of Feira Tourism company and chairman of the Culture and Sports public company. He was Executive Director of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture. Chairman of the Agency for the Development of Creative Industries in the Northern Portugal. Member of the National Council for Culture – Arts Section.
